My approach
I operate dog grooming in Toowoomba from my home: quiet, warm, and calm. I don’t keep dogs on site for long periods before and after their groom, to help keep the noise and stress to a minimum. I take my time and prioritise every dog’s welfare.
Appointments are available on Saturdays and Sundays.
The shampoos, conditioners, and paw balm I use are by Essential Dog: Australian made and owned, with natural ingredients. If flea shampoo is required I use Cotex Tea Tree Oil shampoo. I groom small and medium dogs of all breeds – mostly under about 15 kgs. Please enquire for larger breeds.
Dog grooming services and prices
Prices are listed as ‘from’: this is generally what the price will be, unless the dog is difficult to groom (e.g. aggressive), has knotted/ matted coats, or (for comb haircuts) if you’d like the dog to be super fluffy.
Bath and Towel Dry
The no-fuss option. Great for smooth coated dogs. It includes a warm bath and towel dry and nails clipped (if needed).

This includes a warm bath and blow dry, coat brushed, and nails clipped (if needed).

Tidy Up Trim
An in-between trim that doesn’t change the length of your dog’s coat but keeps the essential bits neat and hygienic.
This will tidy up your dog’s face, eyes, and ears; feet, including under the paw pads; booty and bits; and belly.
It also includes a warm bath and blow dry, coat brushed, and nails clipped (if needed).

Basic haircut
The everyday groom! Low maintenance, clean and tidy. Choose the length of your dog’s coat – all of them are reasonably short and practical.
It also includes a warm bath and blow dry, coat brushed, and nails clipped (if needed).

Comb haircut
The fancy groom! This typically leaves the dog’s coat a bit longer than the Basic Haircut (which takes longer to do). Choose the length of your dog’s coat and any other details you’d like for your dog’s face, tail, or ears.
It also includes a warm bath and blow dry, coat brushed, and nails clipped (if needed).
Important to note: if your dog’s coat has lots or mats it may not be possible to complete this type of groom. In this case I’ll likely give your dog a Basic Haircut instead (please see Terms and Conditions).

Terms and Conditions
By booking your dog(s) into Holistic Small Animal Health’s dog grooming service you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the following:
Drop off: please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your appointment as this may disturb other grooms in process or the entrance gate may still be locked. Please also be on time for your appointment to ensure I have enough time to complete your dog’s groom. Please call 0410 693 172 if you need to make other arrangements and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
Pick up: I’ll send you a text when your dog is ready to be picked up. Please collect your dog within 30 minutes unless we’ve made other arrangements. After 30 minutes, late pick up fees of $10 per 15 minutes or part thereof will apply. Please also do not arrive early collect your dog – they are likely to be very excited to see you which will make it difficult for me to finish the groom. Dogs who bark incessantly need to be picked up as soon as possible.
Dogs with knotted/matted coats: if your dog’s coat has lots of knots or mats an extra charge may apply. This is because it takes additional time to safely remove the knots/mats. Your desired groom/ style may also not be possible as a result. I won’t brush out bad knots/mats as this is distressing for your dog and can make them anxious for future grooms. I’ll cut/ shave out knots/mats as nearly and gently as possible to give your dog a fresh start.
Dogs that are difficult to groom: if your dog is difficult to groom, I may not be able to complete your desired groom/ style, however I will still aim to have your dog leave looking gorgeous. Extra charges may apply for any additional grooming time.
Aggressive dogs: I reserve the right to refuse to groom or not complete a groom on dogs displaying aggressive behaviour. Charges may still apply.
Fleas: if your dog is found to have fleas, a flea rinse will be applied and an additional fee of $10 charged.
Anal gland expression: I do NOT offer anal gland expression as this procedure should only be performed by a vet.
Emergencies: in the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorise Holistic Small Animal Health to contact the nearest veterinarian and authorise the vet to treat your dog as your expense.
Pre-existing conditions: please ensure you inform me of any known pre-existing conditions that your dog has.
Payment: payment is to be made at the time of pick up. Payment can be made by cash or card.
I will always do my best to protect the health, wellbeing, and safety of your dog while they are with me. You acknowledge that accidents can and do happen and you hereby absolve Holistic Small Animal Health and its groomers from any and all responsibility involving injury, escape, damage, or disease during and after their grooming appointment.
